Thank you!

I made an effort in the month of January to find sponsors for Compassion International kids. I didn't exactly set the world on fire with my results. But I did get three children sponsored. So THANK YOU to those three families who responded!

I'm particularly excited because I know these are dedicated people who will write to their children. And I know they are families who will be with their kids for the long-haul.

May all of you be blessed through new and exciting sponsor relationships!

Hi Lisa,
I am Brianne and I work at Compassion with Chris G on the web team (with the Compassion blog)! I just wanted to let you know that this post really encouraged me! I am so deeply grateful that you found sponsors for 3 children. This is so incredible – I am confident you have been used by the Lord to greatly impact the lives of these 3 children by finding them sponsors. What a wonderful and eternal gift! Thank you so much for your sincere desire to release children from poverty!

Brianne, thank you so much! How great to hear from another Compassion person. I adore the web team and I really appreciate your encouragement.

I was hoping the number would be higher because I just want EVERYONE to sponsor a child. :) But I'm happy for the three who were sponsored. And I'm going to continue sharing Compassion with others.

Keep up the incredible work in Colorado Springs! You all are amazing.

Ahem. Lisa, haven't we "discussed" the possibility of your joining the Advocates' Network? :o)

You and many other sponsors prove a sponsor can be an advocate for children without joining the Network, but it's still something to keep in mind and pray about. The joy of finding a sponsor for a child is awfully close to the joy I experienced when I first began sponsoring. And since I couldn't, and can't, sponsor 'em all, the answer became obvious!

You are so right -- it is an amazing feeling to hand over those packets and watch a new sponsor/child relationship form.

I'm pretty certain that the Advocate's Network is in my future! I'll keep you posted. :)

Imagine how huge the change is for the kids though! Praise God for willing and loving sponsors (and Advocates!)
